On May 6, IBM unveiled a tremendous advancement in semiconductor design and process, and announced the world's first chip with 2 nanometer nanosheet technology. Speaking in numbers, this means about 45% higher performance with same power consumption, or 75% lower energy use comparing with today's 7nm node chips.
Generally speaking, the average today's phone battery life is to quadruple (4 times increase), and the IoT devices are one step closer and several steps faster. This also could dramatically improve the object detection and recognition in such applications as self-driving vehicles.
It only took less than 4 years for IBM to achieve this milestone after announcing the 5nm design. Reaching 50 billion transistors on a single chip makes them even smaller and more efficient than ever.

With the advancement in the variety of features and transformed specifications, one gets an end number of options to choose from. The great laptops and PCs balance power, productivity, convey ability, and also the comfort of carrying it. The two main motivations you'd pick a laptop over a cell phone or tablet is the existence of a fabulous keyboard and trackpad.
